How to use the chart

For times after 1259, subtract 1200 from the military time to get the PM hour in 12-hour time. For example, 1830 minus 1200 gives 630, so 1830 is 6:30 PM.

For times from 0000 through 1159, use AM. The exception is 0000, which is 12:00 AM rather than 0:00 AM.
